Countryside Fair

Whittington Countryside Fair Saturday 2nd September 2017

WHITTINGTON COUNTRYSIDE AND CRAFT FAIR –

SATURDAY 2nd SEPTEMBER 2017 – 10AM TO 4.30PM

Although this is our 14th consecutive year of running the Countryside Fair, it could be the last in its present format. The Parish Council now has a reduced membership and this is the final year for a number of key members of the Fair team. Unless we can find a number of new recruits to help out with the main roles and responsibilities the format will have to change. However, on a more positive note preparations for this year’s show are well in hand, the list of attractions below include many of our well tried and tested events. A variety of trade and craft stalls have been booked, together with catering outlets and a licenced bar. Please do come along, bring your friends and enjoy the Show.

Fair entry prices for the September event are:

Adults £5.00, Concessions, (including children) £3.00, Family ticket (2 x adults + 2 x children) £12.00. Children under five are admitted free of charge.

Acknowledgements

Organising and running an event of this magnitude could not take place without the help and support of many people and groups in our community. The Fair Committee consisting of Parish Councillors and other members of the community has already put hours and hours of time and work into the preparation, planning and organising of the event. Our sincere thanks to the Council and the many members of our community who help in so many different ways. Don’t forget, Countryside Fair day – Saturday 2rd September 2017. Make a note in your diaries. If anyone would like to help out at the Fair or become more involved in future events please contact any member of the Parish Council or John Smith on 01543432848.
